In 1645, Mary Powell came back to live with her ex-boyfriend Milton. Her family had owed his family money for decades and they were suddenly showing up at his door. This is most likely the reason for this; he didn't like these people. And due to this and some additional legal action, basically Milton got most of the Powell estate but there was hardly anything left.
