The Supreme Court's Decision in North Carolina
The North Carolina Harvard cases was in some ways the easiest case for the court to decide this year, partly because you simply had six justices who clearly read the 14th Amendment one way rather than the other. The president itself kind of had an expiration date as the majority in the new cases point out. And then the third thing that made this decision relatively easy was that the record in the Harvard case was so awful. It's interesting and significant to note that Scalia will be known for his dissents.
