The Importance of Mechanism in Trauma
I've had cases of 20-year-old guy roll over car getting stuck under a truck and he walks into the department and says he feels fine. You have to give mechanism credit, which is what I just said you shouldn't do. If somebody falls from seven stories, okay, sure, that's worrisome. But in and of itself doesn't necessarily prompt you to do much, apart from maybe getting prepared for specific injury patterns by playing the trauma game.
