Is Space an Important Part of UIs?

The ultimate interface for harnessing all of our superpowers of spatial perception would be short of a brain computer interface like a shunt. The second trend that I'm seeing is people building software taking seriously the idea that certain kinds of knowledge and possibly all knowledge has this underlying associative network structure to it. And we don't know at the same time because we don't have interfaces that can actually show it to us in that way.
