The Path of Light Changed During an Eclipse
If gravity warps space time, then it must also warp the path light travels in. Einstein predicted how light would be bent by a gravitating object like the sun. In 1919, English astronomer Arthur Eddington decided to put this to the test. If Einstein's theory was correct, then the path of light would change depending on where the sun is. The only problem is that if it's daytime and the sun is between the earth and the star, you can't see the star because the sun is too bright.
