Is the Odoma a Separate Asufism?
The idea of the odoma as a very sepclosed social group who are separate from sufis, is something that happens at a later stage in tatia. A lot of n an alin, a member of the oloma, is really, i a learned person. And amon of these people had rules at the court, so they juggled multiple tasks and ties. Many of them had initiation in different sufi orders. So the idea of a asufism that's more tolerant, heterodox, and is totally separate from the more judicial world,. legalistic world of the ais is not something that we see when we look at the court chronicles.
