The methods were originally used for orators to help them memorize the key points of their speech. When i give talks, i don't use any notes, but i might have a talk on saint martin de poris and there's forty points i want to make on hand. The first system i ever came across, i found this book at a library sale back in the late seventies. It actually just used 20 parts of a car. And youus work your way through 20 parts of an old car. So once you know how to integrate all different kinds of memory techniques, you can do it anywhere.
