What's Conservation of Anger Momentum?

The original gas cloud that formed the neutron star had some spin to it. And as the gas cloud gets smaller and smaller and turns into a star, the star spins faster. Now that might sound like it violates conservation of angular momentum because it's spinning faster. While the velocity of the stars spin is not what's conserved. It's the angular momentum, which is the product of the velocity and their radius. Things that are larger spin slower with the same angular momentum as things that are smaller and spin faster.
