How Do You Handle a Life Change?

How do you handle re homing something due to a life change? My son is just starting to walk, and now can get into and reach places he couldn't before. So it's kind of the same thing, like we talked about before, if this space was clear, then where would i look for it first? If there weren't any small pieces of things here on this bottom shelf, where would I look for itFirst? Same kind of thing for this situation right herek i have to clear off this space,. which means it needs to be completely clear with no choking hazards or anything that could hurt his little hands.
