The bank of Japan has been buying up JGBs in a competitive operation. This is not yield curve control, this is more just sort of old QE style JGB buying that they've been doing since inventing QE and it really doesn't matter too much these kind of purchases. So here is the generic 10 year JGB, you know, nominal yield over the past decade plus, right? Essentially this chart starts a bit before Coronomics kicks off.
