For many people who are part of the Republican establishment, it's better to see your values decayed gradually. Trump broke all that up. He actually was serious about changing things. And therefore, the left in its bureaucratic forms took him on. In the last survey, 61% of Republicans wanted Trump to be the nominee. Now why is that? Because they see him as a bulwark against everything I'm describing.
