The First Undersea Fist Fight
John Day was the first recorded fatality involving a submersible, but there's not much more to say about him. About 75 years later, Prussian carpenter Wilhelm Bauer did. Not only that, Bauer holds the distinct honor of having caused the first undersea fist fight. It was 1850 and Denmark had set up a blockade on this Russian harbor.
