How to Measure Unemployment During the Pandemic

In december 20 20, the unemployment rate was six point seven % in the united states. The goal is to count all those people experiencing what is hopefully temporary job loss as being unemployed. Some people told surveyors they were still employed, after all, they also hope to go back to their job. Nes: It's always seems to me that we assume away the problem when we don't count people who are so bumbed out looking for work that they stop looking for work as unemployed.
