Raymond Carroll was found guilty of murdering Deirdre Kennedy. He appealed his conviction, saying the perjury charge should never have been allowed. The High Court ruled that none of the evidence presented at the perjury trial was new and compelling. For the second time, Raymond Carroll's conviction was overturned.
