The Middle East and the Arab Spring
In the Middle East, in the way you've described it, politics actually are existential. I think one thing is we have to stop being narcissistic as Americans where we always think the sky is falling and then we lose our global perspective. There has to be accommodation because when you suppress things that a lot of people feel that they can't get rid of, there's no permanent solution.
