The Power of Notation in Programming

In APL or in J, you're reaching for algorithms. The primitives in the language are what I think of as algorithms in C++. There's just certain patterns that you're only going to pick up from being forced to sort of think in this way. And on top of that, yeah, it's just the most beautiful language I've ever seen.
