Erdogan's Consolidation of Power
Since 2013 and moving towards 2016, we saw Erdogan in that period becoming much more consolidating power to himself. He tore apart the bureaucracy, arrested, thousands were arrested and cleansed out the police services with his own people. We saw within the party cleansing as well, a lot of the more intelligentsia of the party started to disappear. So we see this shift towards the authoritarian.
