Has Something Happened to Her?

I am rooting for her to get the hell out of this relationship, but somehow I feel like, like the only exit is him. He's the one who has no appreciation of who she is beyond a few broad strokes that he's sort of created for her and is being Chinese. She doesn't wonder what he sees in her in a way, right? But it's fine without it. And here, she, I think, deftly does it for her, and it's like such a sad mixture of things.
