i would struggle to justify saying that the guy that sits on his couch in his house of three other dudes smoking weed and play an ex box all day is as valuable as a member of society. It's like, lok, we have to make people culpable for some of the things that they do. What do we owe even the slacker on the couch by virtue of him being a human right? I don't think we enough attention to that, at leastin where i live. Not universalizing things can make programms more expensive and end up so that the people who do need them are less likely to get them. That is the result of social coices.
