The Fundamental Incompressibility of Information Theory

Paul Silliers in his analysis of complex systems actually takes this as an archaeological fundamental, that there is a difference or noise at the heart of any given system. He'll explicitly talk about this in his book Complexity in Postmodernism, which is his PhD thesis. And one way to illustrate this is actually using information theory. There's only so much you can compress a given thing until you get noise at theheart of it.
