In Ethiopia, the Associated Press citing a number of witnesses is reporting heavy fighting between Amhar regional security forces and fighters from the rebel oramo liberation army group. The Ethiopian government's recently ended conflict with the Degrad People's Liberation Front threatened on a couple of occasions to spill over into Sudan. Thousands of people are reportedly being displaced by all this fighting.
