The Relationship Between Isaac and the Glass Menagerie

Kierkegaard is wrestling with that story of Abraham and Isaac totally. There's also a sense in which if you never leave home think of the glass menagerie or Odysseus, we carry these two great myths around. Kierkegaard is definitely like yeah he's definitely aware of that tension and of course he ends up going back to his family. He does seem to ultimately prioritize the relationship to the transcendence at least in the Abraham story over the over the family but part of him dies with the death of the familial bond.
