How to Start a Book With Unsympathetic Characters

Sheryling: I know a lot of numerators who try to start their books with unsympathetic characters and it usually crashes and burns. One of the tricks that I use is to give him a bad life, honestly. Even while he's doing something awful, you feel bad for him because he doesn't have a dad. And when someone can make you laugh, you like them instantly. It's just a human instinct.
