The Persian Plan Was Live and Let Live
In verse 13, they continue their letter, be it known now unto the king, that if this city be builded and the walls set up again, that they will not pay toll, tribute and custom. In fact, go search your own records, search the historical records, and you'll see jerusalem's character. You'll see that it has a history of rebellion and sedition. And remember, the persian plan was live and let live. Well, that goes along perfectly with the jewish plan. We just want the land of promise promised to abraham, isaac and jacob. That's it.
