Is There a Transfer of Wealth in the Post-War Era?
Late capitalism is an age of moderate extremes, where the pendulum isn't exactly swinging from fascism towards liberalism. It's less Hobbes-Borms age of extremes in first half of 20th century but rather an age of Moderate Extremism. We're not quite sure how fast we're going to get there - it will be a long time before what late capitalism is meant to be. But theorists like Tacitus wanted to talk about these revolutionary periods because they lived during unprecedented prosperity and stability.
