Lacan and Freud and the Drive
Lacan: One of the mistakes that analysts made after Freud and in understanding the drive was that there was a drive for everything. And Lacan says no, and there's just, there's just,. there's just drive, which is why he doesn't say death drive. He breaks from Freud because he doesn't even allow for two separate drives. There's not death drive in arrows for Lacan. But anyway, so this move away from, away from just like multiplicity, I think is very important if you're moving in the direction of psychoanalytic theory.
