It's a great exercise to spend a period weighing or tracking, so you can learn what proper portions look like. And then you also get a sense for how much food is if you're cutting right. People who do best with intuitive eating are just not not weighing or tracking anything. Maybe they have a plan of sorts, but they have always done a lot of weighing and tracking at somewhat or a fair amount of it.
