Aluminum Oxide and Colorless Gemstones
On its own, if you had just pure aluminum oxide, it doesn't have a color to it. Right. So all the light that hits it, it don't absorb any. The light can just pass through the gemstone. And that's where color comes in whenever certain like wavelength are absorbed and some are reflected or whatever. That's why we see color in this case. None of them are absorbed. So it looks essentially colorless. Yes.
