Can't Love Be an Emotion?

The idea that emotions are foibles, that they kind of trip you up is a really old view. It's not supported by the evidence. How do we make good decisions when we're feel emotional? How do we architect and environment? These are sort of like three separate questions. Do on sometimes trip you up? Yes. So there are just times when you're making good decisions and times when you're not. But it's not really alined with whether or not you're emotional, or whether or not you’re beingrational or thinking. That's not how your brain works. Your brain didn't evolve that way.
