The Gruesome Image of the Worm

Jesus is giving us a picture here of a worm eating a dead body. And it never stops feeding on that body where their worm does not die. Jesus is using this gruesome image because he is straining to communicate the awfulness, the horror of hell. If you think that that is an overstatement, hell just is not real to you.
