Is There a True Additive Benefit?
Right now institutions basically use exchanges in the only way that's available to them, which is like putting a lot of money onto an exchange and then doing their trades from there. What that does is expose them to huge amounts of counterparty risk. And so with the collider model, if the exchange goes like bust, you would still lose what was in an open trade, but everything else would just be sitting in your wallet because you don't need to hold it on the exchange.
