The Southern Baptists Are Being Southern Baptist. It's Baptist Polity

If it weren't for the controversy around mishandling of sexual abuse, this would be relatively uncontroversial. There are all kinds of Christian denominations and traditions that hold to some analog of complementarianism that would have these same kinds of issues. So in one sense, it would be a non story except for these other controversial things. It has been a top of mind thing for me in the last few years when these gender controversies have been ongoing.
