The Importance of a Soft Landing Economy

Growth is surprising to the upside, and that's happening while the Fed tells us it's no longer a recession. To have a soft landing, you need moderating inflation; we've all gotten very happy about declining core inflation. People seem to me to be confusing on first and second derivatives of shelter inflation. We're still going to see higher than expected shelter inflation, if you ask me.
