Two would-be assassins failed to shoot when the motor cade passed. Netelko kabrinovik threw a grenade at Franz ferdinand's car, but it missed. Miraculously no one was seriously injured in the incident. The archduke then loudly interrupted the mayor of Serievo as he made his welcome remarks.
