The Importance of Being a Young Executive Director
I went to George Washington High School and any teacher who's still on this earth will tell you that I definitely struggled. I ended up in the juvenile justice system and it was very difficult to get out but I found an opportunity to work at a small organization later on with a baby on my hip. She had Amina right at sort of the cusp of her 19th birthday and she was 18 and pregnant, 26 years ago. Her daughter is graduating from law school in three weeks.
