The Ku Klux Klan's Position on the Constitution
There was a Supreme Court justice from the New Deal until the Supreme Court, who I think named Hugo Black. Before he'd been a senator, he had been a state judge in Alabama and a member of the Ku Klux Klan. And it didn't only hate blacks, it also hated Catholics and various other people. The idea that Jefferson's letter to Dan Prairie Baptist is constitutional law is the fruit of Hugo Black's efforts on the Supreme Court.
