The History of Ireland
In 1840, there were 8 million people in Ireland and 2.9 million in the Netherlands. The Irish population doubled in 50 years; it was a red hole now. In fact, one in three children were out of wedlock. This is an amazing statistic because no country in Western Europe had a similar population dynamic. Only if we copied the Dutch experience are they slightly out-of-control? It would be nearly 50 million patties, right?
