Theosophy and the Coming Race
The first Comic Con was Brill themed. It was called the Brill Bazaar and it was held in 1891 at Royal Albert Hall of all things. Theosophy had a huge, huge impact on that stuff. Even Lovecraft who talked about Lovecraft was the whole Cthulhu mythos really comes from Theosophy and also, you know, Alice Bailey.
