Discipline Brings Clarity Out of the Confusion of Our Many Distractions

In 1 Kings 17, we read that God tells Elijah to go live on his own in the wilderness. He lives by a brook and is delivered groceries by ravens. Can you imagine ravens working for Instacart? Wow. This is an invitation to wild, costly, surrendered obedience. Not to mention it seems hyper-unproductive. And Elijah still does it. Predictably, the brook dries up because, you know, the whole drought thing.
