In the podcast, a listener might be forgiven for not quite realizing that most of these characters intersect with each other. I wanted to stress also in the podcast what that character represents. Margaret Moncrief Coglin is such a fascinating figure. She wrote this memoir, which just the voice just leaps out of the page at you. And she's trying to have independence in a time when women simply couldn't.
