The most common way to generate electricity is through an organic rank and cycle engine. But that's below the temperature for a normal steam turbine, he says. To get decent efficiencies will want water coming up at least in the 120 to 150 degrees C. And so we're focusing all our magic on the subsurface - which has never been done before.
