Roxanne Jones: You talk in the book about hot versus cold cognition. And you have some strategies for helping teenagers when they're in a more common rational state to sort of think they were put strategies into place when the hot cognition kicks in. What does that mean or how does that look?Jones: Teenagers are of two lines. So there's their cold reasoning, which is basically their good rational, thoughtful reasoning and this is the reasoning they do when they're not in socially and emotionally charged situations. Then there's what we call hot reasoning,which is their less rational reasoning, less probably safe reasoning.
