Are There Other Barriers That Prohibit Change?

In general, if you're coming from engineering, or even from the business, you normally anticipate some amount of change wit your underlying technology to support the business. But i find that when i walk in to a client, not all, but enough, and some of the clients that i engage with, how much a kind of fiftom there is around certain areas of the technology. And these are companies who have multiple chief architects, right? And indifferent divisions and so forth. And they will be very resistant to change.
