The Real Story of El Matavira Hwanabaraza

Hwanabaraza was born in a rural town north of Mexico City. Her mother, Huusta, was an alcoholic teenager who worked as a domestic cleaner and occasional sex worker. She never learned to read or write because her stepfather believed girls were only destined to become housewives. Hwanabar's father abandoned his family when she was just a few months old. The two children slept on the ground each night with only bags of cement to keep them warm.
