We've Lost Confidence in Our Ability to Be Certain
I wonder if our confidence in our ability to have any certainty is low. I think we've shifted very much back to a kind of a strict confidencen in almost everything, except a kind of selective scepticism, if you will, wright about sexual etics and religion. So i actually think, by the way, that that means our culture, for years, we've been saying, we're fighting this battle against this dictatorship of relativism,. That is present in some quarters. But notice, at the same time, a the skepticism seems to be more towards a political leaders, more towards sa sexual ethics, more towards a a religion as a kind of institution.
