The last 200 years of transportation technology are based on the idea of aggregation. Disaggregation is rather than one big vehicle with 50 people in it, or 300 if it's a train. If you could orchestrate that very large fleet of small vehicles versus a very small fleet of very large vehicles, you could control every vehicle much more carefully.
