There was a crawl space about two feet wide in between the two rows of rooms. The holes were from a renovation, and the hotel hadn't properly patched them. She could have been hanging out in people's rooms when they were gone. It happened to my dad when he was 17 in 19 82. He ran away from home because he was in some kind of trouble.
