I'm a psychologist, I come from that background. That's what drove me into politics, the power of how you get people to participate. The British public are not daft. We have to change the culture of how we do politics and the practice of participation is different from accountability. Accountability is a ballot box but participation is something different. If basically what helps us tackle diabetes is those Asian men recruiting other Asian men and women to be part of their walking group then how do we fast track that process as that's what healthcare system locally should
