The Threats of TikTok in the EU
The US is by far the leader on this and as Patrick says, both in investment inwards and outwards. The EU has drawn up guidelines on this, but of course it's for individual EU countries. Some countries are more concerned and perhaps have more to defend others like Hungary or Australia. Canada and New Zealand, we're talking here about the other five eyes partners, perhaps rather more lax. So indeed there are other countries. India, for instance, has banned TikTok, but is vulnerable in other areas. One particular worrying one is the IoT modules, which are probably the biggest threat,. bigger than Huawei or Higg Vision.
