The book goes from World War one to today so as you can see listeners, we did not make it nearly halfway of modern Europe. We're entering a new period of multiple crises with this backdrop of climate change and certain areas that have been underdeveloped in particular Africa or parts of Africa. It's acceptable all over again to a new wave of unapologetic colonialism emanating out of more or less fascist states in Europe or North America. There is no guarantee whatsoever that this period of raw colonialism and Nazi like fascism is well behind us.
